Wedmore 1991

Hum. Two and a 1/4 purple oams. Lots of fun! Heard about this party early, I think John was getting phone calls all day from people wanting to use his equipment. We had a map for the party with a picture of a flashing tree? I think before I went there I went to a wedding reception before hand, some one from Safeway's had got married, so I went there first, then to the rave. After picking up the gang we stopped at an abandoned petrol station and stashed the gear, the Porto-bong was stashed under the bonnet of the car. We got lost and ended up giving bubs a lift there, he knew where it was, thankfully. It was down this little lane and turned right at a tree with a flashing road light stuck in it, the flashing tree. I parked near to the main arena against a hedge, this would have been as you drove in on your left beyound the arena. Opposite us on the other side of the field were more parties, I think, I did not get to venture that far. The main arena had four scaffolding towers, one in each corner. These were linked with material which made a light roof, well, it was not really a roof, just decoration really, what ever, it looked good. On each tower were a few lights, mostly little white spot lights that turned and moved. It was either Tigger or Quickcut had left his records behind, and they used mine till theirs had arrived. Got them back as well! Near to the decks, but just a little way from the "dance floor" were people selling pipes and the like, became very disorientated and confused. Made my way back to the car where I spent most of the night in the back totally out of it. The music was mainly 1991 Euro techno, good thumping beats.

The parents were on holiday, I think. So we made our way back at about midday. For some reason we accidentally left Mark behind. Trying to get out of the field was a nightmare. I was totally boxed in, so many people had come, and the empty lane we had come down was now choka of cars. All I could say was "acid casualty coming through", and that was it. I was totally out of it. Think Mark left early, notsure why, I think everyone had done loads of acid that night. It was a really hot morning as well. Got home, made breakfast and went to bed.
