Blog for the day:
Today's blog. A French cowboy, long climbs, forests, sunshine and mold.

The first part of the day was interesting with lots of gorgeous towns and villages. The second part was uphill through a forest for 15miles. So we came across a cowboy who talked and talked and we couldn't get away from. Certainly was a character. The towns and villages were amazing and it seems like they are turning more and more like the ones in the far south of France.

The sunflowers are finally beginning to show their yellow colors and the yellow big ball in the sky is out and making things hot. The scenery again was amazing with views for miles around and in every direction. We climbed 2 Cols today as well. Certainly was a hard day overall. I found the Forest climbs boring as not much to see apart from more trees and when you think you are getting to the top of the trees, around another corner is another hill. There was a diversion as a bridge was being repaired and a load of trees were being cut down either side of the road. Lots of mess all over the road but managed to get through.

I wanted to go inside the abbey and other buildings but I didn't have my chain so was not able to. Camping tonight and Ben is on bbq duty. .
