Blog for the day:
Well we sorted out the problems with the camping over some beer, and all was good in the end. They were both very nice.

Apparently it rained a little in the night but I missed this. The first part of the ride was lovely, through more sunflower fields and vines. The weather was overcast and about 20degrees, so not hot but warm, even cool.

The old town of Loaches we stopped off at was lovely, full of history again. Joan of arc visited. Lots of pics. I then went off the route to try and find some more bits I spotted on Google Earth. A bit of a mistake as the road was really busy and when I got there, it was hardly worth it. Headwinds, bloody headwinds. Seems like I have had a headwind everyday since arriving. Certainly makes for a harder day when you have to peddle hard downhill's.

After nearly being squashed a few times I got back on route and got to the next large town which was a bit of a dump to be honest. Did not appreciate that they removed the French flags and replaced them with the EUssr flags and had a European day on Bastille day. I guess they want to remove national identity and replace it with their idea.

After being nearly squashed a few more times I made it in to the nice old village we were spending the night. The road in to town was longer than expected and had a really rough surface, shaking re bike and me to pieces. In the village are lots of old photos places where they were taken a hundred odd years ago.

The hotel was nice and slept really well, could have done with a few more hours even though had 8! The food was amazing, loads of fresh fish and produce. Too much yap though to enjoy it.

Today is the start of the climbing, so let's see what happens. Weather cool though. .
